I just had an amazing dinner and I am itching to catch up on this week’s Project Runway so I am going to make this super short and sweet. Below, I’ve posted some of my favorite links around the web this week. I hope you enjoy!
That’s cause for celebration in and of itself! It was my first full week back at work since December 20th and let me tell you, it was NOT easy. I feel more tired than I have in a while, stressed again with business and I think there’s a direct correlation with working and my skin looking 10 years older than I actually am. But, I’m hopeful that after some much needed extra rest this weekend, I will be back better than ever next week.
Since I haven’t posted one of these in a while, I’ve included some additional amazing articles and videos that have surfaced the interweb over the past couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy celebrity baby news, tear-jerking proposals and videos of people falling as much as I do. Enjoy!
We are officially on the 5 day countdown to Christmas! Even better? I officially will not be back in the office until January 6th!!! Some work from home days and lots of PTO has me the happiest I’ve been in a while because this week was brutally busy. I’m looking forward to some major downtown, food, family and maybe a massage (or two) mixed in. Shhhhh.
What am I going to do with all this extra free time? Well if you find yourself any sort of bored over the next few days, here are some great articles I found on the internet this week. I hope you enjoy and have very happy holidays with loved ones!
Now three times in one week?! Must be the holidays or something. Or it’s just me freaking out about buying presents *typical* I just HAD to post one more time for my last minute Christmas shoppers. If you’re stressed, take a deep breath because it is going to be alright!
The holidays are a rough time for our wallets. From normal monthly bills, to events, gifts, traveling, the list seems endless and money seems to spontaneously grow wings.
But just because it’s the most wonderful time of the year doesn’t mean that every gift you buy has to be $100+. There are plenty of fantastic gift ideas out there that you can purchase for $50 or less. Stocking stuffers, small wrapped presents or handouts to colleagues, I have scoured the internet to bring you the best of the best. Here are my top picks for gifts $50 and under.
Second post of the week and it’s only Tuesday…who am I?!?! Well let me tell you, I’m still a true procrastinator. In everything I do, I usually wait until the last possible minute before completing the task.
It’s the way I’ve always been, from 3rd grade papers to waiting until 11PM to pack a suitcase before a 5AM flight. Not much has changed, so why would Christmas shopping be any different. I tend to stay on brand.
If you are also a bonafide procrastinator, you will surely appreciate this less-than-two-weeks-before-Christmas Gift Guide for Her. If you are either late with letting others know what you want for the holidays or late in buying for the women in your life, I tried to make it easy on all of us!
Below you will see my top picks for holiday gifts this year, many of which I am even asking for myself or already own. Everything is linked for easy access or you could even send this blog post link to your family members so they can easily access the items. If you have any questions on any of the options, just let me know!
To be completely transparent (because that’s what we like around here), my mom is the one who actually pushed publish on this post due to the fact that I am currently in Michigan City wine tasting for a work outing. My whole team is together and likely around this time, we are eating lunch and at our first winery of the day. But that doesn’t stop business as usual, the show must go on. I hope you all had a fabulous short week, I know I did. Got lots done in the three whole days I was in the office, so that’s something to celebrate. Just think, a few more hours and you are in weekend mode again. I’m raising a glass to you right now! Some of the best things I found on the internet this week are below, enjoy!
I hope you had a wonderful week and are gearing up to do something amazing over Labor Day Weekend! As you know, I launched my Friday Favorites Series last week as a way to highlight some of my favorite things on the internet the past week. I also love that because I want to publish these by noon every Friday, it holds me accountable to keep up with worldly and pop culture news. Here are the best articles, videos and content I discovered this week and the new items on my Wish List:
You have made it through the week and are hours away from
enjoying the weekend! How exciting is that. Just take a quick moment and
reflect on all of the tasks/projects you’ve completed this week. You killed it
and I am proud of you.
I am a firm believer that consistency is key. Whether you are writing content, consuming content or trying to adapt a new habit, consistency will get you there. One of the aspects I love about my favorite bloggers is their ability to consistently engage their readers with series that they’ve implemented. I love staying with a blogger through their journey of a series, almost like watching a new episode every week of your favorite show or listening to a new podcast released every Thursday. I have dreamt up some series I would love to start working on, but in the meantime, I thought we could dip our toe in the water and start with what I’m calling my Friday Favorites series.
Friday Favorites are going to be exactly what they sound
like. They are going to be short and sweet linking to some of my favorite
things that I’ve discovered on the Internet in the past week. Topics will range
from world news, pop culture, articles I read and loved, Instagram content,
other blog content to products I currently have on my “wish list”. I’m really
excited to launch this and hope you will return every Friday around noon to see
some of the best things on the internet for the week. Hold me accountable!
Let’s get started with my first Friday Favorites:

As a result of the terrifying fires happening in the Amazon right now, my best friend wrote a blog post that’s both informative and chalk full of ways you can show your support. Here is the post
